Want to enhance your presentation skills, gain better control of your nerves, and advance your professional career? UNSW Toastmasters Presents Speechcraft in August 2010 In this intensive course, you will receive practical training in the areas of improvised and prepared speaking. This will make you a much more confident speaker. You will also be given a series of educationals to enhance your knowledge of making presentations. In addition, you will learn how to evaluate other people’s speeches, and accelerate your learning process. The course is open to all members of the community, and there are discounts for UNSW students and staff. Speechcraft is recommended for people that are particularly unconfident in the area of public speaking, but all skill levels are welcome. Details Dates: Every Saturday, from 14th of August to the 4th of September Time: 2pm to 6pm Place: University of New South Wales (UNSW) Law Building Room 301, Kensington. How To Register - Send an email expressing your interest to complete Speechcraft to Nick, the primary Speechcraft co-ordinator via the Contact Us page with the subject ‘Speechcraft’. Nick will then send you the registration form. Alternatively, you can download the registration form here.
- Complete the registration form, and submit a payment to the UNSW Toastmasters Commonwealth bank account. Bank details and the ABN will be stated in the registration form.
- Notify UNSW Toastmasters of the payment via the Contact Us page.
- Nick will then send you a receipt upon the confirmation of the payment.
Refunds Policy - Absence from meetings: Unfortunately the Speechcraft dates have been set and any absences cannot be refunded for unless there are very special circumstances (such as accidents).
- Joining regular meetings after Speechcraft: If you would like to become a member of Toastmasters International and join the regular meetings, you would be required to make a separate payment of $36 for 6 months of membership. Unfortunately, you cannot use Speechcraft fees to pay for membership.
- Refunds: Refunds are only allowed three weeks before the start of Speechcraft, that is, before 31st July.
